Wellbeing enables satisfaction and contentment

Hello, my name is Kerry.

After spending 18 years developing my skills and knowledge within the public sector around supporting children and adults with additional needs and SEND (special educational needs and disabilities), I decided to go-it alone and see if my person-centred approach could enable individuals to reach their full potential. So, my adventure started in October 2016.

I am a Makaton tutor and like to work in a total-communication approach to ensure individuals are able to express themselves, be understood and make informed choices.

I am a keen crafter - it is important to note that enthusiasm does not necessarily link to talent, but I love the positive feelings I get from being creative and want to share this with others. Crafting is closely linked to good mental health and wellbeing which is a key area of work for me, with others, as well as within myself.

I am interested in wellbeing and what this means and looks like to others.  How there are common links in the feelings of wellbeing as well as great differences in what these look and feel like. We are all different and I love this about my work. I learn something new every day and I find this incredibly motivating.

I am passionate about equality and integration and hope that Marjorie and Me, in some small way, can make a difference to children and adults with additional needs and their families.
